He is BEST suited for Walk/Trot only as cantering seems to make him nervous. He is an awesome academy horse for and intermediate rider. He is showier than the average rescue and can do well at shows.

Will swap leads at the canter. Was adopted out once before but the farm had to cut back and sent him back. We are working on ring work with him to get him calmer. He would be a sport horse type would probably make a good cross country horse or endurance horse for an experienced rider.

He was shown in the 2012 - 2021 show seasons by an Amateur & Jr. Exhibitor in both the Show Pleasure and Open English Pleasure divisions. As well as in Park Pleasure by a Trainer. He is a favorite in the barn. He is fairly consistent but does need to work every day. He would work well as a practice show horse or for an aggressive academy rider. He does tend to get a little gamer at shows.

Would be a good practice horse for 1 or 2 people but not a large amount of people riding her.

COMMENTS: This horse has absolutely been to Saddlebred School! She is a little nervous when you first get on but did not overreact. She stayed on the rail. After you get on and begin walking, she gets very relaxed and calm. She could be a show horse for some local shows. She did not know how to canter and it appears that she must may not have ever been asked to do so. Would be a good Academy horse.

COMMENTS: When Harley was in the kill pen he pretended to be a Saddlebred so we would bring him home! This horse is clearly a Standardbred. He has no tattoo and no freeze brand. He has wonderful manners and our guess is that he was with a trainer that worked him to be a road horse. He is a natural trotter. He rides easily. He trots a corner and stays to the rail. This is not a horse that was just out on the road. He was probably in a show barn at one time. When we took him to a show, he was at peace with anything we asked of him.

She got a little nervous when we asked her to canter, but she settled in well and relaxed when we went back and asked for the trot. With a little work, this horse can absolutely be showable. Would be a great Academy mount for a better intermediate rider.

She has put on quite a bit of weight since arriving on the farm. She is a little nervous when you get on, and she will "stick" with no go forward. But we have found that if you lunge her just a little (3x ea. direction) she is much better. Her canter is faster in one direction than in the other.

He needs a lot of support on the canter because he will switch leads. He would make a great Academy horse especially for a taller bigger rider. We have not yet tried him on trails or driving. This horse is the same very single day. If DNA finds that he is registered he would bake a nice show horse.

She is putting on weight nicely and is currently not being turned out.
